Petroleum Research Newfoundland & Labrador funds and facilitates petroleum-related research and development in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Petroleum Research is a federally-incorporated, not-for-profit organization that funds and facilitates collaborative research and development (R&D) on behalf of Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore oil and gas industry.
We are a member-based organization that seeks proposals for research and technology development projects that address the operational, technical and business needs of our members.
Petroleum Research issues Requests for Proposals (RFPs) which address specific member needs. We also accept unsolicited proposals from individuals or organizations conducting research in a particular subject area or field that is of potential interest to our members.

Petroleum Research's JIP on 'Development of a Trenching System for Subsea Pipelines, Flowlines, and Umbilicals in Ice Scour Environments' continues with development and evaluation of concept models from global technology developers and service providers.
